Our Moggerhanger Meeting Place and Shop Party Volunteers, friends and others from the village met for lunch at The Guinea on 15th February.
A lovely atmosphere and an excellent meal, which 17 people thoroughly enjoyed. If you weren't able to come to this one, look out for the next, on 10th May.
We welcome people from outside the village too.
Booking forms will be in the shop in the vestry, St. John's Church, from mid April, opening times Mon-Sat 10.00-12.00).
The shop is running a promotion on Fox's and McVitie's biscuits - at 65p per packet. 'While stocks last' - don't miss out!
Moggerhanger
Meeting Place and Shop was set up with the help
of a Millennium Award presented by the Scarman Trust in conjunction with Anglia
TV which was presented to Mrs. Betty Barrance on 16th May 2000
The Meeting Place and
Shop then opened in June 2000 after many months of planning.
The Shop
is run by volunteers on behalf of the Village and, as it is non profit
making, the
prices are very competitive.
We are
always needing more volunteers to help man the shop, so please let the
Volunteer Coordinators know if you can help out. We need people who can commit themselves to
2 hours once a fortnight as the rota is done on a fortnightly basis, (or
one hour
if you do an afternoon shift). We currently have vacancies on a Monday and
a Tuesday.
The
Volunteer Coordinator contact numbers are 01767 640734 or 640039. Or for more information call the Shop Manager on 01767 641184.
Do not forget the Meeting Place
which is open each morning for Coffee between 10:00 and 12:00. Why not
pop in and have a coffee and do your shopping at the same time.
